I was 14 and I …
I was 14 and I remeber that day as if it were yesterday. Like Don McLean I was a newspaper carrier and that’s how I learned of the tragic plane crash. Buddy Holly was the first artist whose music I had an interest in. That’s never changed and I have a very good collection of his music including some, which allegedly hadn’t been released in North America.
The info by DGillyy about the rumour that the name of the plane was “American Pie” was interesting and appreciated.

i feel so silly now …
i feel so silly now. i’m 29 been listening Buddy Holly and this song, and know what the song was about since i was 14 in 1993. BUT I NEVER put the “That’ll be the day that I die” and “this will be the day that I die” together until now. And there were so many more hidden meanings than I was aware of.
