Some of the people …
Some of the people are based on real people. I know for a fact Davey and Paul are. Davey got out of the navy and ironically ended up in real estate. He thought being in the navy was a good experience though. Paul finally got out of real estate and began working on his book, although I don’t know if he ever finished it. The line about ‘real estate novelist’ really got to him. I don’t know about the bartender.
